The Workshop Venue
The Pinnacle Harbourfront Hotel provides IB workshop participants with a comfortable and convenient stay in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Located steps from the waterfront and close to transit, restaurants, and walking paths, it offers easy access to both the workshop venue and local attractions. Guests enjoy modern rooms with harbour or city views, high-speed Wi-Fi, and on-site amenities including a fitness centre, indoor pool, and dining options.
BCAIBWS has secured a block of rooms for workshop participants. To access our reduced nightly rate of $339.00CDN + taxes, please book via the link below, before August 24th, 2026.
Getting here: From the Vancouver airport, the skytrain is your best option. Take the Canada Line from the International Terminal to Waterfront Station for approximately $10CDN. Or take an Uber/Taxi for $40-$55. For those driving to the venue, parking at the hotel is $44 per day.
Registration fee: $1420CDN or $1050USD. A portion of this fee is paid to the International Baccalaureate Organization for that allows us to make these workshops possible. Payment can be made by credit card at the time of registration, or by cheque, direct deposit, or wire transfer if an invoice is requested. For invoiced payments, fees are due within 30 days of invoice date.
All registrations are made online through our website. An acknowledgement of registration will be emailed to you upon registration. Once sufficient enrolment has been reached in your selected workshop, you will receive an email confirmation. We expect that all workshops will fill. However, there is a possibility that we may have to cancel a workshop if it does not fill sufficiently so please do not book any transportation until you receive final confirmation by email. Final confirmation will be sent on or before April 17th, 2026. If you have not received final confirmation please send an e-mail to director@bcaibws.ca for clarification. BCAIBWS will not be able to reimburse you for any travel costs you incur due to the cancellation of your workshop.
BCAIBWS is unable to provide refunds for cancellations made fewer than 30 days before the start date of the workshop. Cancellations or changes must be made in writing and sent to Jen Aragon by email at director@bcaibws.ca. All registrations received after the deadline: April 29th, 2026 are final.
When a workshop is full, we will put participants on a waitlist on a first come, first served basis. Should space become available, or a second session added, waitlist requests will be processed in the order in which they were received. The participant or IB Coordinator must accept this spot via written email within five business days. If a confirmation is not received within five days, we will offer the spot to the next person on the waitlist.
